Maintenance Update for Holy Trinity Parish

-

Due to a slight roof separation over the sacristy at Church of the Holy Trinity water leaked in when an apparent ice dam formed. The leak appears to be fixed, but approximately $5,515.00 worth of damage happened to the sacred vestments. Catholic Mutual Group reviewed it and will cover some of the damage with our responsibility being $1,000.00 deductible.
Please consider making a special intention to the Lord Jesus and offer a gift beyond your regular tithe. Some generous donors have given a total of $600.00 toward this cause. Please help and make your check out to Holy Trinity Church, and in the memo: HT Liturgy account. Thank you for your generous and prayerful support.
In the last storm one-third of our maple tree north of the HT parking lot fell. It took awhile for the busy forester to get to it, but the council members all agree that it needs to be completely taken down because of its compromised integrity and apparent rotting that seemed to have weakened it.
Also, in that same storm some flashing on the west side of the Holy Trinity church was separated. A roofer has looked at it, the same roofer who is going to be doing some work at Church of St. Mary, and he will come up with a bid for me to review.
Thank you for your patience as Church of St. Mary is undergoing roof maintenance.
St. Columbkill is still addressing water issues and perhaps an addition for another bathroom and to increase the size of the community room. We are waiting on bids to see if the community wants to move forward with this project.
Thanks again for all the helpful advice and opinions, but especially for your prayerful support as I have to make some difficult decisions for the future of our parish community. God bless,
Fr. Thomas McCabe, Pastor
